Slovakia is a small country in Central Europe, but it offers interesting business opportunities for investors as well as entrepreneurs from other countries in various sectors. Global brands like ESET, global provider of antivirus SW with more than 1000 SW developers under its roof or international provider of workspaces HB Reavis that is currently developing 5 out of the 10 largest office schemes in Europe come from this country.  Many global companies, including IBM, Dell, Lenovo, AT&T, SAP, and Accenture, have built outsourcing and service centres here. Slovakia is the world’s largest per-capita car producer with a total of 1,110,000 cars manufactured in the country in 2019 alone and the 5th largest car producer in the European Union. Many global automobile brands based their large plants in this country. The largest are Voklswagen, PSA, KIA, Hyunday and Landrover.

What are the strengths and weaknesses of the real estate and PropTech ecosystem in this country and how it can be accelerated and healed thanks to national hubs, international networks, co-operation and competition? Milan Bogár, founder of PropTech Slovakia, will tell us more about the challenges and the mission of the national PropTech platform, which is supporting technology providers, customers and investors that together digitally transform the entire construction and real estate market in home country and  abroad. Aim is to export those ProTech solutions that are missing in other countries and import or develop those PropTech solutions missing in home country, because PropTech can dramatically increase efficiency of individuals and organisations in all lifecycle stages of built environment anywhere on the globe.

Milan is also director of FM institute Slovakia, that is a first private provider of education for professional property and facility managers for commercial real estate in Slovakia and board member of the European PropTech Association – PropTech House.
